Each year, PCACAC presents ten Counselor of the Year awards to recognize outstanding secondary school counselors and college admissions counselors. An award is given to one high school counselor and college admissions counselor from each of our region’s four states and the District of Columbia. Any member of PCACAC may nominate a deserving counselor. The criteria for selection are simple:

• professional leadership,
• honesty,
• sensitivity,
• patience,
• thoroughness,
• and of course, a sense of humor!
