College Tour 1 – Goldey-Beacom College and the University of Delaware

Goldey-Beacom College and the University of Delaware invite you to their campuses in New Castle County, Delaware. The tour will begin with check-in at the University Visitors Center on the University of Delaware’s Newark campus. Transportation between the two campuses, information sessions and guided tours, and a box lunch for participants will be provided. The tours will conclude by 2:00 p.m. to allow counselors time to drive to the Dover Downs Conference Center in Dover, DE for PCACAC conference registration/check-in and afternoon and evening activities.

                                                Dover Downs Conference Center
 
Delaware State University and Wesley College invite you to their campuses in Dover, Delaware, the capital of the nation’s first state. The tour will begin with transportation provided from the portico entrance area of Dover Downs Hotel, site of the PCACAC Spring Conference.   The tours will conclude with return transportation to the Dover Downs Conference Center by 10:50 a.m. to allow counselors to participate in the brunch and General Membership Meeting that conclude the annual conference.

Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD invites PCACAC attendees to campus on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 27 after the conclusion of this year’s conference. A perfect stopping point on your way home, Salisbury’s “Post PCACAC Open House” offers secondary school counselors an opportunity to enjoy a complimentary lunch with staff as well as a campus tour. Salisbury University’s campus holds arboretum status and April is a perfect time to visit. The University of Delaware invites anyone on the journey to or from the Potomac & Chesapeake ACAC Conference in Dover, Delaware to visit us as your travel plans permit on either Monday, April 26 or Tuesday, April 27 for a regularly scheduled information session and campus tour. As you know, we are sponsoring joint campus tours on Sunday, April 25 with Goldey-Beacom College, but for those unable to participate in that event we would be pleased to have you join a regularly scheduled tour for prospective students and their families. Please register online in advance at:   https://primus.nss.udel.edu/prospectformadmin/forms/tour-rsvp.jsp Information sessions followed by a campus tour are offered at 10 a.m., 12 noon, and 2:00 p.m. on both days. Although the form is intended for prospective students, you may use it to register, although you’ll have to fill in several items as if you are a prospective student.
 
Washington College invites you to take your time heading back to the office on Tuesday afternoon after the PCACAC conference. Take a scenic drive through the Eastern Shore of Maryland to visit our campus! The Washington College campus is a 45-minute drive from Dover, DE.   Follow these directions:
 
Follow 13 N. Left at DE 42. Left at DE Rte 6. Crossing the state line into MD, DE 6 becomes MD 291. Follow 291 into Chestertown. Turn left on 213 S/ Washington Ave. The main campus entrance will be on your right; park in the Kirby Stadium parking lot. The Admissions Office is located on the 3rd floor of the Casey Academic Center building, across from Kirby Stadium. We will offer visitors a campus tour with a current student, and a chance to speak with an admissions counselor.
