Joyce E. Smith Honored by Rep Don Beyer (D-VA)

The Congressional Record for June 22, 2020 includes these remarks and more from Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) honoring Joyce Smith's service as NACAC's CEO, "Madam Speaker, Ms. Smith has worked tirelessly on behalf of students around the country and world, helping to ensure they reach their academic dreams and fulfill their
potential. The profession and the college application process are constantly changing but
Ms. Smith has led the association with distinction.
Our students and our colleges are better because of Ms. Smith’s leadership. Please join me in wishing Ms. Smith the best in her retirement."

NACAC Admission Practices Committee Update: Draft Revised Code of Ethics

The Admission Practices Committee has completed a first draft of a revised code of ethics with the working title NACAC’s Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission. The committee believes this new guide sustains the long-held values of NACAC members while recommending best practices to support those values.

Before presenting the revision to the Assembly for a vote, the NACAC Board of Directors and the AP Committee are asking for member feedback on the proposed guide. Members have the opportunity to review and comment on the draft through July 15.
